Memorial Day Fun!

Today for Memorial Day we had our families over for a cookout and some time in the pool. We had Jeff's parents, Jeff's brother and sister-in-law and their two kids Gabe and Maura. My parents came and so did my brother and sister-in-law and their two kids Katie and Jake.

Jeff grilled hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill and the kids spent time in the pool. Everyone had a really good time and we enjoyed having them here. I thought I would share a few pictures of the kids with you. I didn't get any of Katie's face. She is a very busy little girl! I hope you enjoy seeing our nephews and nieces.

That's a Bunch of Crock

I have always loved collecting crocks. They can be used in any room. Crocks can be filled with flowers, magazines, garden tools, and my favorite rolling pins. I have a pretty large collection of crocks. Most of mine are brown, which is my favorite color of crock. I hope you enjoy looking at my collection.























































































I apologize for my long absence. The last week of school is always hectic. This is the first evening that I have not had something that I needed to do. It is all worth it in the end, and I am very blessed to have a job that gives me so much time off in the summer.

Flowers Are Blooming

I thought I would share some pictures of the work I have been doing the last couple of weekends. I finally got some flowers planted. I planted red and white geraniums and vinca vine. I don't like to clean my pots completly from year to year. I like the aged look that is acheived after a few years of use.

I also made a little path to the hose out of flagstone. This will keep me from having to walk in the mulch whenever I want to use the hose.

I also included a picture of an old plow that I found at a yard sale a couple of years ago. I found the old washtub at the same yard sale and put some ferns in it.

The last two pictures are of some plants that I plan on planting around the pump to the pool. Hopefully, the will eventually disguise the pump in the future.

If the weather cooperates, we plan on doing some landscaping in the back yard this weekend. I will share some pictures with you when it is completed. Until then, I will let you see what I have accomplished so far.
