I love to decorate my classroom with bright colors and I do not like to leave any space blank. I think a colorful and stimulating environment help kids learn.
I also believe in keeping my room neat and organized. I know you are shocked! In fact, these pictures were taken during the middle of the day. When the kids were at recess.
I also try to keep the room sterilized through out the day. The kids and I use Clorox wipes on every surface a couple of times a day and there is always plenty of Germ-x on hand...literally.
I like to have a little bit of a primitive touch with these schoolhouse pictures that are hanging by my door. They make me feel a little more at home.
This is our little reading area. The kids love to sit on the bean bags and read books during a quick break.
I hope you enjoyed going to school with me today. I enjoyed taking you along with me.
Thank you for visiting Yesterday Once More. I hope you enjoyed your visit and will continue to come back as often as possible. Always remember, "What we learn with pleasure we never forget."
All My Best,
~Dan~

Hi Dan,
What a beautiful classroom. I'm sure you are a fantastic teacher. I can tell that you put your heart and soul into your profession. We could use a lot more teachers like you in this world.

A teacher after my own heart! I was exactly the same way with the preschool when I was there. I thnk children learn better when their space is not chaotic. It can be full of bright color fun learning things and still be organized. I loved our bool corner - we had a bright colored rug and bean bag chairs too. And we had lots of space to show off the kiddos artwork too - such a source of pride for them. And with my nursing background, I was always disinfecting the room and us! Even though the CDC says alcohol gels kill more germs than washing simply because kids (and most adults) never wash long enough, our state licensor wouldn't allow it!(At least until 2005 when I left my job). I fought it every year armed with CDC reports but always lost so we had hand washing stations everywhere.
Oh this post brought me back... thanks for sharing Dan! I'd love to be in your classroom! Your students are very lucky indeed!!
Thank you for the peek at your classroom! I bet the kids just love it there.

Wow, I can't believe how organized your classroom is and so full of life. I am sure the parents of the children you teach absolutely love you and wish you would teach their children every year. What a blessing it would be to have a teacher so full of life and always thinking of the kids and how to stimulate them into learning better!
Cuddos to you!
Have a great New Year!

oh what a fun classroom..who wouldnt want to go to school with a class like that? I dont remember my classrooms looking so fun, organized and clean like yours..LOL....it looks great Dan, and Im sure you are an awesome teacher...
A very nice space. Very neat and organized and there are also many cozy spaces throughout where kids can engage in cooperative learning. I just love it! It makes me miss elementary. My classroom last year looked a lot like that. Now that I'm in the middle school I still have a lot of work left to do with my space. When I get my space ready, I'll share too.
I would love to watch you teach...I'm sure I could steal some ideas! : )

What a beautiful classroom.
I would like to be in your classroom (if I was a lot of years younger)
How many students do you have in your class room?
We do the sanitation thing here at the office.
Oh my!! I loved your pictures! What a great idea to post your classroom! I think I will do the same when I get a chance. I loved your organization! That is half the battle in teaching! We spend so much time in our classrooms, they are like our home away from home! Maybe you have started something...maybe others will post pics of where they work!!
Hugs.

Very nice Mr. Weaver! Every one of my kids would have loved to be in that really cool room! I love the brightness and cleanliness of it all. Yes, gotta have a few prim touches in there somewhere... I like how you added those in.
Oh, Dan, what a wonderful classroom. Your students are so lucky to have you as their teacher. So inspirational.

Dan honey
You made my day posting pictures of your class room. This has to be the nicest class room I have ever visited. At my age I have visted many many in my time and now my grand babies rooms and none were as well organized, pretty and with homey extra touches as yours.
Honey you are just the best person in the world to teach. How I admire you and wish I could of been like you. Thank you for being a teacher the world needs more Dan's.
Hope you and Jeff have a special weekend. Get plenty of rest. Do Not paint anything. If you just have to paint come to Texas. lol
Love ya

Dan, first I want to say I love all the changes you have done in your home, the rooms look wonderful and I love your color choices.
You made me wish that 1. I was a kid again and could be in your class room, 2. My kids were kids again so THEY could be in your classroom, and 3. My grandkids lived in your school district!
Your class room is wonderful, I too believe that children need some order in their lives and living/play areas. Your students are blessed to have you as their teacher!
Your room looks great! What's the secret to keeping it soooo neat? My kids are so messy, despite taking time to straighten up several times a day....
